A FREE family fun day is to take place at a community pub in the city this Easter Sunday.
The Easter Family Fun Day is to take place at The Swan Inn, described as a traditional community pub in Barbourne Worcester, on Sunday, March 31.
The event, which starts at noon and is free of charge, will include 'something for all the community to enjoy, from a bouncy castle and face painting to delicious BBQ treats'.
The pub is also partnering with local small businesses that will be offering a wide range of products, including homemade cookies and jewellery.
The pub, owned by the UK’s leading community pub company, Admiral Taverns, is run by 'passionate and experienced' licensee Ryan Maund who has been at the helm of the Swan Inn since 2022, while also managing the nearby pub, the Courtyard in Worcester.
Over the past two years, Mr Maund and his team, led by General Manager Cerys Willis, 'have worked hard at the Swan Inn to foster a friendly social hub where everyone feels welcome'.
The pub hosts regular entertainment, including 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' themed quiz nights every Monday, 'Unplugged' open-mic nights every Thursday, and karaoke every Saturday.
Ryan Maund, licensee of the Swan Inn, said: “We can’t wait for the Easter weekend – it’s set to be a fantastic day, with so many fun activities on offer, and many more surprises to come. It’s also been great to partner with local businesses – the whole community is always supporting each other, which is what makes our community so amazing. I look forward to seeing as many new and regular customers as possible.”
The pub offers a premium drink offering, including Birra Moretti, Camden Hells, and Guinness, as well as house pints, such as Carling, Magners, and Worthington’s, which are on offer for just £3 a pint during the pub’s Happy Hour, every Friday and Saturday from 6pm-8pm, and weekdays from 12pm-4pm. The Swan Inn also hosts a selection of premium spirits and wines.
Stuart Taylor, Business Development Manager at Admiral Taverns, commented: “The Swan Inn is a fantastic local community pub that is always hosting an array of exciting entertainment, and I’m sure this Easter weekend will be no different. A huge well done to Ryan and his team – I recommend anyone in the area to visit on Easter Sunday, you will certainly have a great time.”
