Plans to build a log cabin holiday let at a farm near Worcester have been approved.

Laugherne Farm in Martley wants to diversify by offering the accommodation to holiday-makers.

A proposal was submitted to Malvern Hills District Council last year and was approved by planning officers earlier this week.

The parish council raised no objections to the plan, which will see the cabin built on the northern section of the farm, a “sufficient distance” from neighbouring properties.

“The holiday lodge would provide passive income whilst allowing the continuation of the

current operations,” the applicant said in a letter to planners.
