A UK food chain has announced a technical issue that forced its stores across the country to close has now been resolved.
Greggs revealed this morning (Wednesday) that its stores had been bugged by an IT glitch at the tills.
The issue forced shops to temporarily close as customers were unable to pay by either cash or card.
But the British bakery chain confirmed the technical issue has now been resolved and the majority of shops can now take cash and card payments again.
A Greggs spokesperson said: “We have now resolved the technical issue that affected tills in some of our shops earlier this morning.
"The majority of shops affected are now able to take card and cash payments again and we expect the issue to be fully resolved shortly.
"We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused to our customers.”
A Worcester News reporter said the Worcester shop on the High Street was up and running as normal following the glitch.
