A community foodbank has received a bundle of Easter eggs from a Worcester recruitment company.

Staff at Pineapple Recruitment have donated the chocolate treats to Worcester Foodbank, aiming to do their bit to lessen food poverty among families in the area this Easter.

The company is best known for its recruiting in hospitality and catering sectors, sourcing and recruiting people for clients across professional catering, senior management and support/administrative positions.

The charity is part of a UK network of foodbanks supported by The Trussell Trust, and aims to provide three days of nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to anyone in the community that is referred to them.

The business manager at the recruitment business, Kasia Krieger, said: "The special gift of a chocolate Easter egg makes a big difference to any child who has to spend this Easter in food poverty.

"We don’t want any kids to go without and everyone here at Pineapple Recruitment wants to ensure that parents who are using the foodbank here in Worcester can get hold of an Easter egg easily.

"We want to help put smiles on as many faces as possible and are delighted to have been able to donate the Easter eggs."

Grahame Lucas from Worcester Foodbank said: "We are very appreciative to Kasia and the whole team at Pineapple Recruitment for thinking of the children which will mean so much to them."
