Severn Trent is encouraging Worcestershire residents to combat flooding and household bills by installing a water butt.
Two severe storms and recorded above-average rainfall in the area have spurred calls for efforts to slow water drainage into the sewer network.
Water butts range in sizes, and according to customer demand lead at Severn Trent, Sophie Evans-Young, can alleviate the pressure on the sewage system and provide water for gardens during hot periods.
She said: "Any form of flooding can be really distressing but installing a water butt is a simple solution."
