THE sales director of a city estate agent described fondly as 'the greatest showman' by his colleagues has died peacefully at home.
Gerard Smith, aged 59, a sales director of FreeAgent247 based in Basin Road, Diglis, has died as his colleagues pay tribute to him and the 'invaluable' contribution he made to the firm's success.
Mr Smith of Worcester worked for FreeAgent247 since it was founded in 2018 and was considered an integral part of the team, called the 'FreeAgent family'.
A spokesperson for the FreeAgent247 team, led by founder and managing director Daniel Lewis, said:
"It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Sales Director Gerard Smith who has died peacefully at home.
"Gerard has been working with us since the start of FreeAgent247. He provided an invaluable contribution to our progression and was undoubtedly the greatest showman. Thank you for your support and patience during this time."
His funeral will be held at Worcester Crematorium at Astwood Cemetery on Monday, March 25 at 2.30pm.
A wake will follow at Boleros in Foregate Street in Worcester between 4.30pm and 6.30pm.
