POLICE rushed to the car park at Crowngate Shopping Centre after concerns were raised for a man’s safety.
Eyewitnesses saw officers at the scene of the incident at the multi-storey car park off All Saints Road, on Friday afternoon (Friday, March 15).
West Mercia Police confirmed that the man was taken to safety.
One eyewitness said they “had to leave the bus station” next to the car park, with police “stopping buses coming in".
Another said that the bus station was closed by police and bus services were suspended.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “We received a call around 1pm this afternoon (15 March) with the concern for a man’s safety at a carpark on All Saints Road in Worcester.
“Officers attended the incident and following support from the police, the man was taken to safety”.
