A Worcestershire leisure centre has been given 'excellent' status.

Perdiswell Leisure Centre, operating under Freedom Leisure on behalf of Worcester City Council, recently achieved an 'Excellent' rating from Quest Accreditation.

Quest, widely accepted as the industry's benchmark for superior UK leisure facilities, scrutinised numerous aspects of Perdiswell's operation to validate its high service and performance standards.

In its assessment, it found Perdiswell exemplary in several zones, praising its commitment to customer satisfaction and operational prowess.

The Quest assessment involved a surprise visit and two-day aspect-by-aspect inspection.

The centre impressively secured 'Excellent' ratings in six out of 11 modules.

Markedly, the 'Swimming Lessons' module confirmed the centre's dedication to safety and skill growth in water-based activities.

Furthermore, two modules centred on team management and leadership affirmed the harmonious approach of the centre's leadership.

The centre's efforts toward 'Increasing Participation and Reducing Inactivity' were also commended.

This reflected its efficiency in promoting a healthy lifestyle within the community.

Rob Tyler, Freedom Leisure’s area manager in Worcester, said: "We are thrilled to have achieved an 'Excellent' rating in Quest, which demonstrates our ongoing commitment to delivering an exceptional health and wellbeing experience for our community.

The approval from Councillor Neil Laurenson, vice chairman of Worcester City Council’s communities committee, was echoed similarly: "It is good to see the high quality offer that the City Council and Freedom Leisure are providing at Perdiswell Leisure Centre being recognised.

"Ensuring we have a healthy and active city is one of the Council’s key objectives, and I hope this ‘Excellent’ Quest rating will encourage more people to use the swimming pool, gym, sports hall and other great facilities at Perdiswell."
