A BAND making significant strides on the United Kingdom's music scene will be heading to Worcester next month.
Dub Catalyst will perform live at The Marrs Bar, Pierpoint Street, on Friday, April 5 with doors opening at 8pm.
After impressing promoters the 11-piece band from the south-west has secured main-stage slots for 2024 at prominent UK festivals such as Lakefest and Nibley.
The talented ensemble has been gaining recognition for its live performances and unique sound while releasing the album Saves the World.
The band's sound is described as a fusion of dub, reggae and hip hop influences.
A group spokesperson said: "We self-funded our debut gig at the Gloucester Guildhall and sold over 150 tickets without a marketing budget.
"In summer 2023 the band launched its live presence during festival season with a range of self-booked UK festival headline and support slots.
"The band continues to self-book gigs across the UK broadening our reach and building our fanbase."
Dub Catalyst made its mark on the UK’s festival circuit, leaving a lasting impression on audiences with captivating shows, and the group's trajectory continues to soar.
“Whatever your musical persuasion, Dub Catalyst are the must-see band for 2023 and the epitome of the festival season. Their sound will leave you addicted.” said BBC broadcaster Claire Carter.
And Witcombe Cider Festival organisers declared: “If you’re a fan of reggae, dub or simply enjoy energetic live performances, watching Dub Catalyst is a must.”
After the successful festival season, the band has continued to self-book venue gigs beyond their hometowns, including Bristol, Swansea and now Worcester.
Tickets are £10 in advance or £15 on the door and available from www.wegottickets.com/event/603757/
