This Easter, Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum and The Commandery are set to host two weeks of animal-inspired fun for families.
Both venues are inviting visitors to dive into a variety of nature-themed activities throughout the holiday season.
The Commandery invites families to engage in a trail of Easter bunny themed, decorated fairy doors.
Hidden throughout the historical building, children and adults will hunt down these decorated doors.
From the medieval Painted Chamber to the wood-panelled Tudor rooms and scenic gardens, the trail offers the opportunity to explore history alongside seasonal fun.
Also, families can craft their own bunny door to take home, at an additional cost of £3.
Partnering with the event, Commandery Coffee will serve homemade toasties and cakes, whilst offering views overlooking the adjacent canal.
Usual Commandery admission fees apply, however, Worcester residents pass holders can utilise their annual pass for free entry.
Meanwhile, at Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum, it's all about 'Wondrous Wildlife'.
Scheduled for the Wednesdays of March 27 and April 3, children are invited to create felt puppets, drawing inspiration from the museum’s natural history collection.
On the following days, March 28 and April 4, themed sessions centred on animal habitats will encourage children to create homes for chosen creatures, with the aim of educating them on different living environments.
The sessions will cost £4.50 per child, are suitable for children aged five to 11 years, and will take place from 10.30 to 11.30am.
As spaces are limited, pre-booking is essential.
From March 23 to April 7, the Art Gallery and Museum will be providing 'Bags of Fun'.
For this activity, children can create three different animals - a hedgehog, a butterfly and a snake, while learning to identify pawprints of various animals around the gallery.
The cost of the activity bag is £2.50, with an additional trail available for £1.
Both the Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum and cafe Little Al’s on the Balcony, which offers homemade food and drinks, are free to enter.
