A private hospital in Worcester wants to install hundreds of solar panels on its roof.
Spire Southbank Hospital in Bath Road has submitted a planning application to Worcester City Council.
It is for 239 solar panels with a maximum output of 100.38kWp.
If the proposal is approved by city planners, the panels will be installed on the pitched roofs of the hospital buildings.
The hospital was given a ‘good’ rating by the Care Quality Commission in 2022 following a ‘requires improvement’ a few years earlier.
