A proposal to demolish a barn and build a house in its place has been submitted to the district council.

Wyneyards Farm in Lineholt, Ombersley, already has planning permission to convert the barn into a hotel but now would rather build a house.

In its planning application, the applicant says the proposed four-bedroom house would be of a “high quality design” and would have less of an impact on the surrounding area than converting the existing barn.

It also says it would result in fewer vehicle movements and so would be more sustainable in transport terms.
