WORCESTER is preparing itself for The Greatest Charity Show which will be hitting the city on Saturday, April 27.

Charities Acorns Children’s Hospice and St Richard’s Hospice will be benefitting from the grand event at The Guildhall Worcester.

Tom Bray and Daisy McHugh are organising the night which starts at 6pm and runs until midnight.

There will be guest singers, performers, circus acts, a live auction and an after-party disco alongside a three-course dinner and champagne reception.

It will also serve as a networking event for businesses with plenty of interest already and more hoped for.

Tom said: “It will be an evening filled with entertainment, excitement and emotions all in aid of raising funds for two great Worcestershire-based charities which provide exceptional care to our communities and beyond 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

“With the help and support from two local businesses Deltron Lifts Ltd and The Car Refurb Centre as our sponsors along with partnerships from a huge range of Worcestershire businesses, FUS Industrial, Universal Display, Mercian Events, Avenue1 Design, Anja Potze Fine Jewellery, Piston Gin and so many more, we are not just using our event to help raise funds but also for Worcestershire organisations to build better, stronger and even new relationships in a networking capacity.

“With tables of 10 available from just £750 and single tickets at £85, we have a champagne reception, three-course dinner courtesy of Berry-Blue Creative Food, themed cocktail bar from DICE Events, amazing stage set and lighting from Mercian Events, exciting performances from Worcestershire-based performing arts academy Studio B and live auction hosted by our very own ‘Greatest Showman’ and former rugby player Nick Baxter.

“There will be an interactive bidding system on the night with exclusive prizes not available to purchase, guest singers, performers and circus acts and an after-party disco!

“Working with a variety of groups from across the county, we’re bringing Worcester together to support Worcester charities.

“We are still actively seeking support in the form of sponsors to help us logistically make our dreams become a reality to help raise even more funds with sponsorships available from £175.

“We’d like to say a huge thank you to our supporters/sponsors/partners/donors so far.”

Tom and Daisy have been able to publicise the event with a banner at another supporter Tesco, St Peter’s.

Acorns has a Three Counties children’s hospice in Bath Road, Worcester, which opened in 2005, along with bases in Birmingham and the Black Country.

The Birmingham location in Selly Oak was the third children’s hospice in the world at the time when it launched in 1988.

Worcester-based St Richard’s Hospice cares for adults with a serious progressive illness, improving their quality of life during treatment.
