THE following cases were heard at Worcester and Kidderminster Magistrates Court recently. 

 

DEAN ALLEN, of no fixed abode but previously of Worcester, appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on March 5. 

The 36-year-old admitted breaching a non-molestation order, made on September 19 last year, on March 4 . 

Allen denies two other breaches. 

Allen, who was remanded in custody was told the next hearing of the case would take place at Worcester Magistrates Court on March 8. 

 

OMBER HUSSAIN, of Wylds Lane, Worcester, denied drug driving. 

The 38-year-old appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on March 5. 

The crown alleges Hussain drove a Volkswagen Golf on Droitwich Road, Worcester, on October 18 last year when he had 346 micrograms of analyte per litre of blood of Benzoylecgonine (a cocaine body-breakdown product) - above the legal limit.

Hussain, who was given unconditional bail, was told to attend the next hearing of the case  - when a trial date could be set - on May 15. 

 

AARON HALL, of Hock Coppice, Worcester, admitted drink driving.

The 18-year-old appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on Tuesday, (March 5). 

The court heard Hall drove a Seat Leon in Carnforth Drive, Worcester, on February 11 when he had 53 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath - the legal limit being 35mcg. 

Magistrates disqualified Hall from driving for 16 months which will be reduced by 16 weeks if Hall successfully completes a drink-drive awareness course.

Hall was fined £300 and ordered to pay costs of £135 and £120 victim surcharge.

The defendant was ordered to pay the total amount, £555, in full within 28 days. 

 

DOMINIC DINSDALE, of Bestmans Lane, Kempsey near Worcester, admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis - vehicle driver.

The 32-year-old appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on March 5. 

Magistrates heard Dinsdale failed to provide a specimen of breath to police when requested on February 11 this year in Worcester. 

Dinsdale was given a one-year community order with the requirement to complete 80 hours of unpaid work. 

The defendant was disqualified from driving for 17 months which will be reduced by 17 weeks if he successfully completes a drink-drive awareness course. 

Dinsdale was ordered to pay £135 costs and £114 victim surcharge. Magistrates ordered the total amount of £249 be paid in full within 28 days. 

 

ADAM PRITCHARD, of Ombersley Street West, Droitwich, admitted assault by beating of an emergency worker and using threatening/abusive words/behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress

The 35-year-old appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on March 5.

Pritchard committed the offences in Droitwich on February 12. 

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report.

The defendant, who was given unconditional bail, who told to attend the sentencing hearing which was scheduled to take place at the court on April 24. 

 

REECE SILK, of Westminster Road, Ronkswood, admitted criminal damage to property. 

The 28-year-old appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on March 5. 

Magistrates heard Silk damaged property in Tudor Way, Worcester, between July 11 and July 14 last year. 

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence hearing.

Silk, who was given conditional bail, was told to attend the sentencing which was scheduled to take place on March 15. 

 

KARA MORGAN, of School Lane, Upton-upon-Severn, denied an offence of assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm. 

The 21-year-old appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on March 5. 

Morgan is accused of committing the assault in Upton on June 10, 2022. 

The defendant, who was given unconditional bail, was told to attend her expected four-hour trial which was scheduled to take place at the Kidderminster court on May 31.

 

KEVIN OWENS, of Chawson Pleck, Droitwich, admitted drug driving. 

The 40-year-old appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on March 5. 

Magistrates heard Owens was caught driving a van on the A442 in Rushock when he had 7.0ug/L of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol  (a cannabis breakdown) in his blood exceeding the legal limit. 

The offence took place on August 21 last year. 

Owens was given a one-year community order with the requirement to complete 60 hours of unpaid work.

The defendant was disqualified from driving for 17 months.

Owens was ordered to pay costs of £135 and £114 victim surcharge. The defendant was told to pay the total, £249, in full within 28 days.

 

COLIN MARSH, of Yates Hay Road, Malvern, admitted driving a motor vehicle dangerously. 

The 40-year-old appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on March 5. 

Magistrates heard Marsh committed the offence in a Ford Ranger between Newtown Road and Quest Hills Road in Malvern on September 7 last year. 

The case was adjourned for a trial of issue hearing - an administrative hearing to resolve a dispute - which to be held on May 16. 

Marsh, who was given unconditional bail, was given an interim disqualification ahead of the hearing.
