CUSTOMERS can soon bag a bargain at a hospice’s clearance shop.
St Richard’s Hospice is reinventing its premises at 1B Court Road, Barnards Green, Malvern, into its first clearance shop which will open on Tuesday, April 2 at 9.30am.
The shop will stock clothing, accessories, toys, books and bric-a-brac which have not sold at its 17 shops across Worcestershire.
Items will be on sale for reduced prices ranging from £5 and under.
The lowest-priced items will be available to buy individually or in a bundle of 10 for £5.
Dan Corns, commercial director at the Worcester-based hospice, said: “This shop will be all about sustainable shopping, prolonging the life of donated items and promoting reuse and recycling.
“It will also offer customers bargain price goods and a final chance to snap up some great items which have not yet caught the eye of shoppers in our other stores.
“As with all our shops, the funds raised by this store will help us continue to provide free care for patients with serious, progressive illnesses, their loved ones and bereaved people across the county.”
The clearance shop will be situated in the hospice’s previous Barnards Green shop premises.
St Richard’s opened a second charity shop in Barnards Green last December which can be found at 110-112 Barnards Green Road.
This expansion into a larger premises followed the success of the first store in the town.
The hospice is appealing for volunteers to support its clearance shop which will open Tuesday to Saturday from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
Each year the hospice team supports more than 3,100 patients, family members and bereaved people in Worcestershire.
