A ROAD near Worcester was blocked by a collapsed telegraph pole after a car crashed crashed through it and into a garden of a property yesterday evening (Monday).
The incident happened at 10:18pm on Main Road in Kempsey.
Both lanes of the road were blocked by the collapsed telegraph pole and wires, with the fire brigade, ambulance and police attending the site of the crash.
A woman was assessed by firefighters for injuries before being handed over to paramedics for further assessment.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from Worcester Fire Station was called at 22:18 on 4 March to make a vehicle safe after an RTC on Main Road, Kempsey.
"A car had crashed through a telegraph pole into the garden of a property. The pole and wires were blocking both lanes of the road with police (log 485i) attending for traffic management.
"No persons were trapped but a female casualty was assessed by fire service personnel and handed over to the care of the ambulance service (log 4797).
"BT (log WM0179281) were requested to remove the telegraph pole and the line with the incident left with police.
"The incident was marked as pending closure at 23:04."
