THE following cases were heard at Worcester Magistrates Court on February 29. 

 

Robert Fuller, of Tallow Hill, Worcester, admitted possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A - Heroin. 

The 50-year-old committed the offence in Worcester on January 13, Fuller supplying diamorphine to another person. 

Fuller was told to attend his sentence which was scheduled to take place at Worcester Crown Court on April 2. 

Fuller was given conditional bail. 

 

PHILIP HEMMINGS, of Nightingale Close, Droitwich, admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis. 

The 70-year-old committed the offence in Worcester on January 17. 

Hemmings was disqualified from driving for a year which will be reduced by three months if he successfully completes a drink-drive awareness course.

Hemmings was fined £120 and ordered to pay costs of £135 and victim surcharge of £48. 

The total, £303, was ordered to be paid in full within a month by magistrates.

 

DANIEL CHESSMAN, of Butcher Farm, Severn Stoke, Worcester, is accused of drink driving. 

The 18-year-old is alleged to have driven a Volkswagen Polo in St Oswald's Road, Worcester, when he had 66mcg of 100ml of breath. 

The case was adjourned.

Chessman has been told to attend the next hearing of the case which is scheduled to take place at Worcester Magistrates Court on March 19.

 

ALAN HOWARTH, of Main Road, Inkberrow, admitted causing serious injury by careless/inconsiderate driving.

The 90-year-old committed the offence at Trafford Retail Park, Redditch, on January 13 causing injury to a victim. 

Howarth was disqualified from driving for a year and told he wouldn't be able to drive again until he had passed an extended driving test. 

The defendant was fined £479 and ordered to pay costs of £185 and victim surcharge of £192. 

Howarth was told to pay the £856 total in full within a month. 

 

SCOTT JONES, of McIntyre Road, Worcester, admitted using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour with intent to cause fear of/provoke unlawful violence; assault by beating and assault by beating of an emergency worker. 

The 28-year-old committed the offences between July 7 and July 8. 

Jones was fined £576 and ordered to pay £200 compensation.

The defendant was also ordered to pay costs of £185 and £230 victim surcharge. 

Jones was ordered to pay the total of £1,191 within 28 days.

LIAM JONES, of McIntyre Road, Worcester, admitted assault by beating. 

The 29-year-old committed the offence on July 7 in Worcester. 

Jones was fined £120 and ordered to pay £100 compensation. 

The defendant was ordered to pay costs of £135 and victim surcharge of £48. 

Jones was told to pay the full amount of £403 within 28 days. 

 

DARREN PASS, of Barbourne Road, Worcester, admitted theft from a shop. 

The 54-year-old stole £520 worth of clothing items from M&S Stores in Malvern on November 6 last year. 

The defendant was fined £60. There was no order for costs but Pass was ordered to pay £24 victim surcharge. 

Pass was told to pay the full of amount of £84 within 28 days. 

 

GARETH LLEWELLYN, of Happy Land North, Worcester, admitted assault by beating.

Llewellyn committed the offence in Worcester on August 20 last year.

The 56-year-old's case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report.

The defendant, who was given unconditional bail, was told to attend the court on April 2 for sentencing. 

 

OWEN BURLEY, of Quest Hills Road, Malvern, admitted drink driving. 

The 21-year-old was caught driving a Vauxhall Astra in Richmond Road, Malvern, when he had 40mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath - the legal limit being 35mcg. 

Burley was disqualified from driving for a year the ban to be reduced by three months if he successfully completes a drink-drive awareness course. 

Burley was fined £300, costs of £135 and £120 victim surcharge. 

Burley was ordered to pay the £555 total in full within 28 days.
