A MAN whose lounge ceiling has three holes in it is furious Platform Housing has made him wait for the damage to be repaired.
Andy Hulls, of Meadowsweet Court in Malvern, has been left waiting for Platform Housing to fix the ceiling since the middle of last year.
Despite trying to contact the housing association to speed up the process, Mr Hulls has been unable to arrange another appointment.
Scaffolding had been left up at his property for six months until it was taken down over Christmas before being put back up in January.
"Me and my partner are waiting to have holes fixed in our lounge ceiling," said Mr Hulls.
"It was passed on to sub-contractors last week but was meant to be fixed two weeks ago.
"We have had other damage to our property that took almost a year to fix, there was a hole in the kitchen ceiling (in 2022) that had just been filled with filler.
"The scaffolding went up in June 2023 and we booked in for another appointment but that was cancelled.
"There seems to be a different problem every time."
Mr Hulls revealed he had been signed off work for three months by doctors because of the issue, while the damage has also affected his partner, Lilli Horrigan, who suffers from asthma.
"It's not fair to live like this - we'd be better off talking to a brick wall," he said.
"They go home and don't have these problems, we have three holes in the roof that should have been fixed.
"We were given £350 in compensation but that is nothing, we spend more on topping up the gas.
"It's been like trying to get blood out of a stone, they won't give us any more information on when they will repair it."
A spokesperson from Platform Housing said: "We have been working with Mr Hull and his partner to ensure the roof at Meadowsweet Court, Malvern has been fully repaired; plaster repairs to complete this work are scheduled to take place this week."
