A BURGLARY suspect has been named in court in connection with two city break-ins after he was arrested following a helicopter sting.
Nathan Cruikshank has been charged with two home burglaries, one in Dover Avenue in Worcester, and another in Homestead Avenue, Warndon Villages.
The 32-year-old of no fixed abode was remanded and due to appear before magistrates in Kidderminster today following the burglaries between October 5 and October 9 last year.
We reported how an officer from the south Worcestershire proactive burglary team, DC Simon Lloyd, requested the use of a police helicopter from the National Police Air Service during a joint operation with Thames Valley Police in Wokingham on Monday.
The defendant was arrested in the Berkshire town's Superdrug after the city detective, based at Worcester Police Station, helped identify the suspect as the joint team directed the operation on the ground from inside the police helicopter.

We previously reported how DC Lloyd of South Worcestershire's proactive burglary team, joined the NPAS in his first trip in a police helicopter (or any helicopter for that matter) on Monday.
The advice from West Mercia Police is to dial 999 in the event of a burglary in progress to allow the rapid deployment of resources to the scene.
