RESIDENTS have been told to brace for a rainy day after a weather warning was issued.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain for Worcestershire and said to expect hail and thunder throughout today (Thursday).
The warning is currently in place for Evesham, but Worcester and Malvern are experiencing vast amounts of rainfall.
The weather organisation said flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible, and commuters are to expect traffic and bus service delays.
The warning is currently in place between 3am and 2pm today.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "Sunny spells and heavy showers, with hail and thunder possible.
"Expect bands of showers sweeping eastwards, these often heavy with perhaps the odd thunderstorm this morning.
"Some sunny spells by the afternoon. It is turning colder, with temperatures much lower than of late— gusty winds.
"Maximum temperature will reach 8 °C.
"Showers will continue overnight, these once again heavy at times with hail and some wintriness possible over hills. Staying breezy and feeling cold overnight.
"Minimum temperature will be 2 °C."
