A 51-year-old man wanted for a year has been arrested after an appeal for help resulted in new intelligence.
The wanted man was arrested in Droitwich on February 17 after evading police since January 21 last year.
Apprehended by the Neighbourhood Crime Fighting Team, part of West Mercia Police, the suspect was wanted both on a warrant for possession of class A drugs and a prison recall.
A spokesperson for the team said a media appeal was launched which proved instrumental in the capture of the suspect as new information was provided.
"With the help of the public, we did have people message us. With the help of the public and our colleagues in response a man has been arrested," he added.
He is now in custody.
