REENACTORS brought history to life as Living History took place around the city of the weekend.
Around 200 reenactors took part in the event, which took place at several venues in Worcester, including The Commandery, Greyfriars, Guildhall, and Cathedral Square.
People were entertained by living history encampments at the Commandery where re-enactors demonstrated and displayed historical weaponry.
The event took place across Saturday, February 17 and Sunday, February 18, and proved a great opportunity for visitors to encounter reenactors throughout the Grade-1 listed building and grounds.
Brian Bullock, chairman of Worcester reenactors and the events organiser, said it had been a "successful weekend".
"We have performed at six venues over the weekend, the Commandery being the main one," he said.
"There has been 200 reenactors, with about 130 on site today covering every period from Vikings up to World War II.
"There's been lots of events for people to enjoy, so it's gone really, really well from our point of view.
"All of the venues had good numbers attending and the public have all been enthusiastic in learning about history.
"The reenactors enjoy what they are doing - everything has gone to plan and the weather has been very kind to us."
"All in all, it has been a successful weekend."
Mr Bullock said they had had a lot of support from Worcester City Council to promote the event through social media and bus billboards, calling it a bit of "good publicity".
Stuart Webb, who is operations officer at the Commandery, said: "This is one of the highlights of the event calendar for the Commandery.
"It has surpassed anything that we had hoped for - it's a family-fun event and it's fantastic for us and Worcester to have an event that works across the whole city.
"We are extremely grateful to the reenactors, who are all volunteers, for their work that goes a long way to making this happen."
