ANGRY families claim they have gone without working toilets and showers for three days after a mains water pipe has burst.

Residents in Cropthorne are fuming with Severn Trent after facing numerous burst water mains that have left houses without water for three consecutive days.

Richard Nardini, who lives in Kennel Bank, said: "It is disgraceful, we’ve had no showers, no tea, no toilet, and not just us but all along the main street of Cropthorne."

Worcester News:

A Severn Trent spokesperson said: "We would like to apologise to the households in Pershore who have experienced this disruption to their water supply."

Mr Nardini and his family have been forced to buy 20 two-litre bottles of water but have had to work from home with no running water in the house which has caused great disruption.

Residents in Cropthorne have reported numerous leaks throughout the village including one in Brook Lane which has been causing issues for at least 6 months.

It has led to accusations of Severn Trent Water being "reactive but not proactive" in their handling of the issue.

A spokesperson for Severn Trent Water said: "We know that there have been a number of bursts in this area over the last few years and we are looking at the best solution to minimise any future issues for customers.’

Mr Nardini, who has lived in Kennel Bank for the past fourteen years, has claimed that the only support he has received from Severn Trent are two six-packs of 500ml water bottles.

In their response to Mr Nardini’s claims, the Severn Trent Water spokesperson made it clear that its teams have been working hard to make a complex repair and all supplies now should be back to normal.

Brook Lane in Cropthorne is currently closed for Severn Trent Water roadworks to fix a water leak

Roadworks are scheduled to take place until Friday, February 16 at 4pm.
