Birmingham has been named one of the prettiest and best places to visit in England in a new list by Hand Luggage Only.
Whether you visit Birmingham regularly or not, you might’ve formed an opinion based on your experience whether that’s good or bad.
Hand Luggage Only has a positive outlook on the city, ranking it in 17th place in a list that features 20.
What did Hand Baggage Only say about Birmingham?
Hand Luggage Only says: “Birmingham often gets missed by lots of people’s travel plans in favour of some of the other big-hitting spots like London (or Edinburgh across the border in Scotland).
“With that being said, it’s only about 80 minutes from London by train and there are so many cool spots to see.”
When it comes to places to visit within the city, Hand Luggage Only recommends exploring the Coffin Works and Winterbourne House and Garden.
It also encourages visitors to “gorge on all the food at Carters of Moseley” when they're in Birmingham, highlighting the “epic Orkney scallops dish, the tastiest mousse pudding made out of Douglas Fir and some yummy cakes” as dishes to try.
It adds: “It really is a contender for the best places to visit in England.”
