Worcester News readers have been reacting to news of plans to turn the former Debenhams store on the High Street into a hotel.
On Monday (February 11), we revealed exclusively that the former Debenhams building could be converted into a hotel with potential for commercial occupiers on the ground and basement floors.
As reported, Nick Carroll Architects, who represent the freeholders of the building, are currently "in motion" with the pre-planning application.

Readers swiftly voiced their opinions on the new development on Facebook, with a range of suggestions for the building emerging.
Angeline Smith said: "Would like to have seen it turned into a good old fashioned indoor market where people could get shopping with independent butchers, bakers and greengrocers."
Her sentiment was echoed by Stephen Rawlings, who added: "Turn it into a farmers market, better idea."
Meanwhile, Lorna Maria Jeeves suggested a purpose-built area for the city's youth, commenting: "What about a massive sensory centre, some sort of trampoline park, or something for kids and teenagers to do."
Miki-jay Powell had an alternative idea, suggesting: "If it’s turned into anything it should be a place for people to meet up, a helping hand centre for veterans, a low cost food centre for the poor or disadvantaged."
Architect Mr Carroll, whose office is on Broad Street, has said his aim is to transform the familiar city building at 67/71 High Street and revitalise its central location.
He also mentioned that there have been "positive talks" with the council regarding the new plans, and that signs advertising previous plans for an Artisan Food Hall will be removed soon as the hotel development take steps closer.
Not all readers were opposed to the idea of a hotel.
Pauline Jenkins said: "That’s sounds a good idea, anything to stop it looking such an eyesore.
"Let’s try and make our lovely city something to be proud of."
Similarly, Jim Partridge felt it could offer a much-needed alternative, saying: "In principle it’s a good idea offering an alternative hotel to what’s available currently.
"Be interesting to see what the commercial occupiers will be I don’t think we need any more coffee shops or hairdressers/barbers thank you.
"Some lovely independent traders with good products would be nice."
