FOOTAGE showing a vicious unprovoked attack outside Worcester Foregate Street has now been released.
We reported last month a gang including Aaron Lamb, 47, of Bromsgrove Street, Kidderminster; Damien Cowton, 38, of no fixed abode, and Neil Mansfield, 36, of Dart Road, Worcester, took part in the unprovoked attack.
During the attack Cowton had rained down kicks on the victim before Mansfield hit him.
Lamb then hit the victim over the head with a glass bottle.
Richard Davenport, prosecuting, had told Worcester Crown Court the gang and victim had been known to each other, prior to the attack, and the victim had not supported the prosecution.
The prosecutor showed the footage on screens in the courtroom.
During sentencing Her Honour Judge Seanin Gilmore said: "This was a vicious, unprovoked assault targeting a vulnerable victim in a public place."
Judge Gilmore jailed Cowton for four months, suspended for 18 months and Lamb was jailed for 10 months on January 17 at the sentencing hearing.
Mansfield turned up drunk to court on January 17, being sent away before returning a day later when the judge gave him a three-month jail sentence, suspended for 18 months.
