TWO Worcestershire schools have been forced to close today (Thursday).
Worcestershire County Council said Harvington CE First and Nursery School, near Evesham, has been forced to shut its doors because of no heating.
It said: "Due to problems with our heating/hot water, school and nursery will be closed on Thursday."
Suckley School, near Malvern, has also had to close because of severe weather causing flooding.
A message from the school said: "Due to the roads in the area becoming impassable and the need to ensure the children and staff get home safely, we have made the decision to close early."
A yellow weather warning for snow on Thursday was initially issued for the Worcester area but was lifted a day later.
However, the county has been subjected to heavy rainfall causing standing water on roads and causing flooding on Stocks Lane, near Malvern.
