POLICE are reassuring residents they are taking action after reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB) in St Johns and Dines Green areas.
PC Sean Haines, who covers the two areas of Worcester, said they are working hard to tackle the issues.
He said: "Following reports of anti-social behaviour, including vandalism, criminal damage, and general disruption to the communities' quality of life we have taken action, issuing Community Protection Notices, referring people to other agencies to assist with their behaviour, as well as arresting and putting offenders before the courts to answer for their actions."
Examples of anti-social behaviour include:
- Nuisance, rowdy or inconsiderate neighbours
- Vandalism, graffiti and fly-posting
- Street drinking
- Environmental damage including littering, dumping of rubbish and abandonment of cars
- Prostitution related activity
- Begging and vagrancy
- Fireworks misuse
- Inconsiderate or inappropriate use of vehicles
Anyone who is experiencing problems with anti-social behaviour, or have any concerns about it, or other community safety issues, should contact the council or report it to West Mercia Police online.
In an emergency, people are urged to call 999.
Reports can be made using the online Tell Us About form at www.westmercia.police.uk.
Alternatively, information can be passed on anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or by visiting their website www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
PC Haines added: "Thank you for your help. It is only by the police and the public working together that we can prevent and detect crime."
