A CRANE aboard a barge is removing a floating island of debris from against Worcester Bridge.
The team from the Canal and River Trust are currently removing the large pile of fallen trees, branches and other rubbish that caught against the structure during the recent floods.
Flooding affected Worcester last month with the river Severn peaking at 5.6m at Pitchcroft on Friday, January 5.
Now that the waters have safely receded the crew can remove the items that have been caught underneath the bridge.
