AN 'idyllic' and historic country pub near Worcester once popular with cricketing legend Ian Botham needs a new person at the helm to breathe life back into it.
The Red Hart at Kington, Flyford Flavell, run by Admiral Taverns, is described as 'a charming, detached periodic pub' which has been trading since the 17th century.
However, it has been closed since December last year as Admiral seeks a new licence.
The pub has a main bar, two dining areas, log fires, a commercial kitchen, a beer garden and a car park for 20 cars.
The Red Hart is around 10 miles from Worcester, off the A422 Worcester to Stratford Road.
Stuart Taylor, Business Development Manager at Admiral Taverns, commented: “We have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic individual or team to take over the Red Hart in the idyllic village of Flyford Flavell in Kington, Worcester. This beautiful pub is rich with history, having been trading since the 17th century. It hosts three distinct trading areas, a lovely log fire creating a cosy atmosphere, a beer garden and full operational commercial kitchen.
"We are looking for an experienced community food focused licensee who can cement the pub at the heart of the village. The ideal candidate will continue the excellent food offering, creating a wow factor for their customers. Anyone interested should please get in touch on 01244 321171.”
We have previously reported how the pub was once the favourite haunt of Worcestershire cricketers such as Ian Botham.
