THE following cases were heard at Worcester Magistrates Court.
SCOTT LANNIE, who gave a care of address of Battenhall Road, Worcester, admitted driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, being the driver of a vehicle which failed to stop after a road accident, assault by beating of an emergency worker and theft from a shop.
Magistrates heard the 34-year-old committed those offences on June 3 in Stourport and Redditch.
The assault was PC Zara Williams which took place in Redditch, the theft taking place at the Select and Save Store in Stourport.
Lannie also admitted drug driving, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.
Those offences were committed on May 22 last year in Bath Road, Worcester.
Lannie was given a six-month community order which includes 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days and 250 hours of unpaid work.
Lannie was disqualified from driving for 18 months as well as being ordered to pay £250 costs and £114 victim surcharge.
The case was heard at the court on February 1.
DARREN PARKINSON, of Chedworth Drive, Worcester, admitted theft of a pedal cycle and possession of a controlled drug of Class B - Cannabis/Cannabis Resin.
Magistrates heard the 41-year-old stole a pedal cycle, valued at £600, in Worcester on October 28 last year. Parkinson was caught with the cannabis in Worcester on October 12.
Parkinson was ordered to pay £80 compensation.
No order for costs or victim surcharge was made - magistrates deciding to prioritise the payment of compensation due to the defendant's low means.
The case was heard at the court on February 1.
MATTHEW BARKER, 44, of Badsey Lane, Evesham, denied drink driving.
The prosecution alleges the 44-year-old committed the offence on December 23 last year in Badsey Lane, Evesham.
Barker is alleged to have drove a Vauxhall Vivaro in the road when he had 55 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit being 35mcg.
Barker, who was given unconditional bail, was told to attend his expected four-hour trial which was scheduled to take place at the court on May 20.
The case was heard at the court on February 1.
SEAN CLANCY, of Bays Meadow, Droitwich, is accused of driving a vehicle involved in a road accident fail to report that accident.
The 35-year-old is accused of driving a Mercedes Vito and being involved in a crash in Thatchers Court on June 8 last year.
The charge reads: "An accident occurred whereby damage was caused to another vehicle, and not having given your name and address to a person having reasonable grounds for requiring you to do so, failed to report the accident at a police station or to a constable as soon as was reasonably practicable, and in any case within twenty-four hours of the occurrence of the accident."
The first hearing of the case took place at Worcester Magistrates Court on January 31, but magistrates adjourned it.
Clancy is expected to attend the next hearing of the case taking place at the court on February 24, when he will potentially enter a plea.
