SNOW flurries predicted to hit the UK next month are "quite unlikely" to reach Worcester, the Met Office has said.
An artic blast has been forecast for the middle of February that will see the country experience colder, wintry conditions.
But as the the colder conditions will come from the northern hemisphere, the chances of snow in the lower parts of Britain are less likely.
This means that Worcester is set to miss out on the flurry of snow should it arrive as scheduled.
"It is too early to say, but it is looking quite unlikely that we will see any snow in Worcestershire within the next few weeks," the Met Office said.
"In the long range outlook there is reference to the possibility of a more northerly influence to the UK’s weather by the middle of February which would increase the chances of some colder spells or wintry conditions.
"However, as this will be from the north, the chances of snow in Worcester would be limited if this solution were to come into fruition.
"But it is worth keeping up to date as some colder air may push south but at this stage the timings and details of this are uncertain."
