Mrs Sehdeva-Bassi said: "Our wedding day was wonderful from start to finish.

"It was incredibly special for my husband and I to get married with all of our family and close friends with us, and close to home.

"The help and the support from the ceremony team all the way through was great, it helped us to ensure we got to celebrate in our own unique way, which is exactly what we wanted."

Councillor Marcus Hart, the council's cabinet member for communities, said: "Meena and Gurminder‘s story is great to hear, and a fantastic example of how our Registration Team can support you through each stage of your big day, from the preparations ahead of the ceremony to the I Do moment itself.

"Our brochure is a great starting point for planning your wedding, and guides you through our processes in a simple and effective way."

The council has shared dozens of Worcester's wedding venues, and the registration services team remains at everyone's service to help personalise your ceremony in a unique way.

Recently, the team unveiled a new brochure that breaks down each step involved in planning the perfect wedding day, highlighting the numerous venues available for ceremonies, ways to personalise the ceremony, and necessary legal paperwork to be completed before the ceremony.
