"COSTS spiralling out of control" is the reason behind the closure of a popular cafe in Droitwich.
Spats Coffee House has been a staple on the High Street for 18 years and a well-loved cafe in the town.
The cost of living crisis is the reason behind the closure after the cafe said spiralling costs have made it unable to make a profit.
Nobody from Spats Coffee House was available for comment but, on the firm's Facebook page, a spokesperson said: "It is with great sadness that I am having to announce that Spats Coffee House is going to close.
"Costs are spiralling out of control, and so I am unable to turn a profit.
"Thank you all for your custom over the last 18 odd years. It's been the best time of my life."
This is the second closure Droitwich has dealt with this week.
Angelo Petritaj, owner of the award-winning restaurant, All' Angelo's and Taverna on Queen Street, revealed his two eateries will be closing after constant floods.
He had also revealed plans for a cocktail bar on the High Street had also been shelved following opposition in the town.
