A TEENAGER has been arrested after a large number of cigarettes and tobacco was stolen from Co-op.
A 17-year-old man was arrested after several items were taken from the Co-op in Upton-upon-Severn.
Three suspects had fled the scene on Friday (January 19) in a vehicle that was last seen heading towards the West Midlands area.
The individuals have been suspected of committing other thefts in the West Mercia area.
The 17-year-old is helping police with their enquiries.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "On Friday afternoon (January 19), a large number of cigarettes and tobacco were stolen from the Co-op, Upton-upon-Severn; three suspects were involved and left the scene.
"The same suspects also committed thefts at other stores within the West Mercia area.
"The vehicle that was used by the suspects was seen in the West Midlands area later that evening; all three suspects fled from the vehicle, and one was caught and arrested.
"The 17-year-old male that was arrested has been helping police with their enquiries."
