XL Bully owners across England and Wales have been reminded by the RSPCA that they have just two weeks remaining to apply to exempt their dogs under the new law.
The Government has set an application deadline of noon on Wednesday, January 31, with any dogs not exempted by the date becoming illegal to own and a criminal offence.
Dog welfare expert at the RSPCA, Dr Samantha Gaines, said: "It is so important that if owners expect that their dog is an XL Bully that they start the exemption process as soon as possible."
