A BURGLAR is now beginning his new life behind bars after he stole £50,000 of jewellery from a home.
Rian Hart of Helford Close, Worcester, was jailed for 16 months at Worcester Crown Court on Wednesday.
No jewellery has yet been recovered following the burglary in Hartlebury on November 24.
The 22-year-old had admitted burglary at an earlier hearing.
Hart also pleaded guilty to a business burglary at TFM Superstore in Bromsgrove on November 13 where several thousand pounds worth of tools were stolen from the store.
He received a 10 month sentence for this matter to be served consecutively with the burglary dwelling sentence, making a total of 16 months.
Meanwhile, the safer neighbourhood team for Evesham made an arrest on Thursday (January 11) in connection with a burglary at a pharmacy in Waterside in Evesham on December 28.

We reported last December how there had been a spike in burglaries in Worcester.
A boy aged 14 was charged with two city burglaries as officers continue to make arrests.
The teenage suspect, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with two burglaries in Comer Road and Oldbury Road in St John's in Worcester on the same day.
The 14-year-old has now been bailed to appear in court after breaching his previous bail conditions following the break-ins.
The burglaries were reported on December 5 where two men climbed in through a window but were disturbed and left when challenged.
It is believed the same suspects were involved in another burglary the same evening in Oldbury Road, St John's. They entered via an unlocked door, stole car keys and got in a car but, again, were disturbed by the homeowner and fled without taking the car.
Meanwhile, in an unconnected case, officers from the Worcester Burglary Team led by officer in the case DC Simon Lloyd worked a 24 hour shift overnight last month and secured a charge and remand to court for a home burglary that took place at Anchor Lane, Harvington, Evesham on the September 30.
