AN Indian restaurant has been open a month and has received largely positive reviews on the popular online feedback forum.
Aurora Experience in the former Postal Order pub in Foregate Street in Worcester opened to customers last month but has already been hailed as 'funky' and 'fantastic'.
After five reviews, Aurora is rated 4.5 out of 5 by TripAdvisor (ranked 201 out of 346 restaurants).

More funky than Indian. That is not to say that the food isn’t authentic, it is. However don’t go expecting the typical 100+ menu options. The offering is select, but beautiful.
"Who knows how much it cost to convert the old Postal Order, to this trendy place, but given the location, which is in the area that caters for all the legal types who frequent the court, this restaurant is quite at home with its surrounding company, such as Bolero’s, just opposite."
Another reviewer wrote: "Aurora-excellent food and setting.
"Aurora is a fantastic restaurant. Beautiful decor inside. Attentive polite staff and delicious food. We definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody that is thinking of going."

However, one reviewer was less impressed, writing: "Unexpectedly disappointing. Just a little disappointed. Didn't find it as good as I had expected when I had been watching the exciting renovation of the Postal Order. Food was rather bland and prices too high."
We have previously reported how restaurant has a luxurious modern interior designed by owner Karamjit Singh and built by him with help from a team of workers and close support from John Rozier.
In a rare touch, giant synthetic flowers appear to bloom near the entrance while the private room takes the appearance of a waterfall due to lighting features. Meanwhile, a fire juggling stilt walker added to the carnival atmosphere on opening night.
Work began to transform the pub on January 24 last year ahead of the opening in December.
The decor takes inspiration from Worcester itself including the swans of the river Severn (golden birds hang from the ceiling) and the Northern Lights which is the inspiration for the restaurant name.
Dishes include traditional north Indian Seekh kebabs, sizzler platters, Calcutta chilli chicken, grilled club sandwiches, the Aurora beef burger, plant-based (vegan) burgers, Bombay Caesar salad, a variety of steaks from the grill (including Arabic lamb cutlets and Arabic style whole seabass, Punjabi fish and chips, Old Delhi butter chicken, Kashmiri Lamb Rogan Josh with basmati rice and a nan.
There are also a variety of sweet dishes including phirni, an Anjeer brownie, Jalebi cheesecake and Gulab Jamun and ice cream. Continental, British and American influences are said to be part of the inspiration for the cuisine.
