THESE are the incredible views from the stunning penthouse apartments in Worcester which could be ready to live in by March.
The £150 million Sherriff's Gate project in Worcester is proceeding apace - and these are some of the spectacular views from the top of the building and a glimpse of what life could be like inside.
Stennard Harrison, the Worcester-born and bred managing director of the project, described the views as 'superb' and estimates you can see 20 to 30 miles from the summit, a view that takes in Worcester Cathedral, the Malvern Hills, the Abberley Hills and Bredon Hill.
The seven-storey blocks have already changed the skyline of Worcester but it is the view from inside that is one of the big selling points said Mr Harrison.
He added: "What a wonderful place to live, literally around the corner from the city centre and adjacent to the station. Show me a better view than this. This is regeneration at its best. And people will be able to move in from the end of March this year.
"Other developers have been amazed how generous the space is.
"They are very large, two bedroom apartments. There are floor-to-ceiling windows, letting in a lot of natural light. This is a big opportunity for the people of Worcester to be involved in the regeneration of the city."
The apartments are available to rent or buy. The standard price for a one-bedroom is £177,000 to buy to £299,000 for a two-bedroom. The penthouse apartments with the best views will carry the highest price.
Mr Harrison said buyers could recoup a 10 per cent deposit if they buy now and get back their deposit in capital growth.
To rent, a one-bedroom is being advertised on Rightmove for £800 per month and a two-bedroom for around £1,200 per month
The first £50 million phase is now nearing completion - two blocks of apartments are already up, one with 105 units and the other with 108 - both one and two-bedroom units.
Mr Harrison said the windows are triple-glazed with 'a state-of-the-art EPC rating'. The first phase of the construction has meant 160 to 170 people working on site.
As soon as 50 per cent of the apartments are sold, the intention is to move to phase two - the construction of 179 apartments including 47 affordable units and a multi-storey car park for 675 cars.
A convenience store will also form part of this phase and the refurbishment of the old Locke building at the bottom of Newtown Road.
Phase three will involve the creation of 76 further apartments, 35,000 square feet of leisure space including ten-pin bowling, a dance studio and a gym, 85 parking spaces, a 200-bedroom hotel and food and drink outlets.
