A man ended up in hospital with burns as firefighters raced to a fire outside a pub in Drakes Broughton last night.
Crews from Pershore and Worcester attended an out-of-control bonfire near the Plough and Harrow in Worcester Road at 5.50am yesterday (Monday, January 8).
“A large bonfire, around 8m by 5m, was out of control and extinguished using a hosereel jet augmented by street mains,” said a spokesman for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.
“Police attended for traffic control. One male casualty presented to hospital with burns before the arrival of the fire service.”
