Worcester News readers fancying a winter break revealed their favourite January travel destinations.
Amid a flurry of lively Facebook comments, the readership wished to delve into serene destinations, including exotic Barbados and frosty Switzerland, bringing forward a plethora of tastes and preferences.
Ioan Octavian candidly commented: "I would go home in Romania. I miss my family very much after 8 years far away from them".

Julie Watts voiced a similar sentiment, earmarking Australia "to visit my sister", while Gilly Erica, who also has family in Oz commented: "Canberra to see my cousin and my family".
Karen Winney reminisced on her past experiences and opted for Sin City, writing: "Back to Las Vegas. Been once & it’s amazing."
Andrew Reggsy Rule demonstrated his love of shopping, humourously listing "Home Bargains" as his chosen destination, while more soberingly Shelley Matthews said: "Somewhere the gas/electric doesn’t cost a fortune before you’ve even switched any of it on."
Matthew Freeman opted to stay within British waters, settling for a trip to "Fernhill Heath" as he "(doesn't) like to go too far", while Richard Allard also stayed close to home with "Droitwich".
Lynnie Smith chose "California" as her destination, which she would travel in "a rust free VW Campervan".
Dave Kent also chose a state-side escape, commenting: "Nashville Tennessee USA to see the places I performed at back in the 1970’s and 80’s - my good old days as a country music singer".
Duncan Paul Millichip also prefers a New Year's escape across the water, but further north to "Quebec or Montreal" in Canada.
Robin Hooker fancied "the Outer Hebrides, to get away from everything", while Debbie and Richard Evans said: "Cornwall, to see the sea. That's where my heart is and always will be."
