The Met Office says snow is possible as temperatures drop this week.

The forecast for the West Midlands region is for temperatures “below the seasonal average”, dropping below zero tonight and with “an isolated light wintry flurry” possible, “turning frosty for many with some ice”.

Monday is predicted to be “another generally dry day” although the Met Office says “one or two light sleet or snow flurries are possible”.

It says it will feel cold, with a “freshening” easterly breeze and a maximum temperature of 4C.

The good news after the recent flooding is that the outlook for the rest of the week is dry and settled, albeit with widespread overnight frosts.

According to the Worcester forecast, the 'feels like' temperature for the next couple of days will remain at about -1C or -2C.

Ringway Worcestershire and Worcestershire Highways says gritters will be out tonight from 6pm as temperatures could fall as low as -2.6C.

"Please travel carefully as there will be a risk of icy patches and hoar frost," a Ringway spokesperson said.
