Worcester Cathedral has revealed its busy new year music schedule, set to begin this weekend.
The cathedral's first event is a live performance from Assistant Director of Music, Nicholas Freestone on Sunday (January 7) at 6.30pm.
Attendees can enjoy Messiaen’s iconic La Nativité du Seigneur, a nine-meditation classic inspired by the Christmas narrative.
This event is free to enter with donations welcome at a retiring collection.
From Thursday (January 11), the Spring Lunchtime Recital Series also commences with the first performance from organist Benjamin Markovic at 12.15pm.
Other scheduled performers for the spring series include wind trio Darach Ensemble on Thursday, January 25, and vocal duet Hannah Grove (soprano) and Alexis Hutchinson (alto), who will perform on Thursday, March 14.
All of the Spring Lunchtime Recital Series events are scheduled for Thursdays at 12.15pm, with admission free of charge, and donations welcome at a retiring collection.
