PEOPLE travelling on trains in the West Midlands are warned that severe weather caused by Storm Pia is affecting services.
A tree is blocking the railway between Birmingham Snow Hill and Whitlocks End causing issues for commuters.
West Midlands Railway routes affected are between Birmingham Snow Hill and Whitlocks End as well as between Coventry and Nuneaton
Additionally, a fallen tree is blocking the line between Coventry and Nuneaton.
National Rail warned that, as a result, trains running on these routes may be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes.
Disruption is expected until approximately 3pm.

People travelling between Birmingham Snow Hill and Whitlocks End can use their ticket on any of the following services via any reasonable route at no additional cost:
- National Express West Midlands
- West Midlands Railway
For those facing disruption between Coventry and Nuneaton rail replacement transport has been requested to operate.
It is expected to be in place from 12.15am.
Storm Pia has resulted in a yellow weather warning being placed on a vast swathe of the UK.
Worcester is not covered by the alert but is facing high winds today.
