Following a rebrand, Pershore and District Volunteer Centre has announced its new title, Pershore Plus Volunteer Centre.
The organization confirmed it would now be known as Pershore Plus Volunteer Centre on Friday, December 8 at the Banking Hall, Angel Hotel in Pershore.
The rebranding also features the unveiling of a new strategy that focuses on enhancing community cohesion and addressing loneliness.
The centre has said its new mission is to “inspire volunteers to create community connections by providing transport and associated services suitable for all needs with the aim of tackling loneliness and isolation".
Its new vision is to "drive to deliver a sustainable business which is recognised and respected county-wide for its inclusivity and exceptional service in connecting the community. It will be a magnet for volunteers and a beacon of hope for those who feel isolated or in need of support".
The organisation has also appealed to the public to fill volunteer roles such as drivers, passenger assistants, lunch club helpers, and befrienders, among other positions, inviting anyone with free time to offer their support on a regular basis or from time to time.
