SPEEDING drivers are set to be deterred through a new preventive measure being installed in a village.
Kempsey Parish Council has revealed it will install portable vehicle-activated signs (VAS).
The signs will be installed at Kerswell Green and alert drivers speeding through the hamlet.
VAS usually monitors drivers' speeds and will flash and make them aware if they go over the designated speed limit.
Along with the new signs, a new puffin crossing is also planned for the north end of the village opposite the Community Centre.
It will be constructed during the summer 2024.
