A NEW business has been appointed to manage the new apartments coming to Shrub Hill as part of its regeneration.

Principal Estate Management will join the Sherriff’s Gate project, which will see a new hotel, bowling alley, and restaurants in the city.

The project's first stage has seen nearly 213 competitively priced apartments across two blocks constructed.

The apartments are part of a major development which will ultimately deliver a total of 468 apartments, 40,000 sq ft of commercial and retail spaces, a 200-room hotel and restaurants, a 10-pin bowling alley, a cinema and a gym.

Robert Simonds, director of Principal Estate Management, said: “We were introduced to Stennard Harrison, managing director of Sherriff’s Gate Developments Ltd, by Connells New Homes team in Worcester, who are appointed to sell the apartments.

“This is an exciting time for Worcester, and we are very pleased to be involved in the early stages of what is a major regeneration scheme for the Shrub Hill area.”

The completed development, which will cover approximately 900,000 sq ft of derelict land in the city centre, will also provide nearly 1,000 new parking spaces.

Sherriff’s Gate sits within the Worcester City Masterplan, which envisages more than 3,000 new homes, 8,600 new jobs and public spaces, including nine new parks and a new cycle infrastructure.

Previously speaking on the project, Stennard Harrison, managing director at Sherriff’s Gate Developments, said: “The whole project will greatly enhance the appeal of the Shrub Hill area, creating a vibrant hub for residents and visitors alike, providing them with a modern and convenient living experience.

“When complete, the revival of Worcester’s Shrub Hill will serve as a catalyst for positive change.

“The whole project addresses the need for housing in Worcester and this phase of the scheme presents the chance for Worcester people to embark on the path of home ownership.”

Work finally began on the huge regeneration in Shrub Hill last summer after years of delays and more than a decade after the project was first mooted.

Sherriff’s Gate Developments said deposits for the first apartments would be offered at £1,000.
