Himbleton CE Primary School and Nursery have had lots to celebrate in recent months - they secured a good Ofsted report and have celebrated their 150th anniversary after converting to a primary school.
The school held a special day on Friday, December 1 where they went back in time to give the children an experience of what school would have been like 150 years ago.
Staff and children wore traditional clothing for the occasion. Throughout the day the children looked at artefacts from the schools archive, wrote on slates, did sewing, playground drills and even made gruel.
A spokesperson said: "A fun day was had by all and here’s to the next 150 years.
"There are a limited number of places available in our KS2 classes. Should you wish to come and see our wonderful school in action please call 01905391231 to arrange a tour and find out more."
