A MANHUNT has been launched to find a 25-year-old who  failed to turn up for his court hearing. 

Brandon Scott, of Parklands Way, Powick, was due at Worcester Magistrates Court for the first hearing of his case at 9.30am on Thursday, (November 7). 

But more than seven hours later magistrates decided to issue a warrant for his arrest after his case was called on and he was not at court. 

Scott is accused of five charges of theft from a shop and breaching his criminal behaviour order (CBO). 

The prosecution alleges Scott stole meat from Sainsbury's in Worcester, valued at £213.44, on July 20. 

Scott is also accused of stealing a range of beauty cosmetics, valued at £46.95, from Home Bargains in Worcester on August 1.

The crown say Scott stole cheese, a four-pack of Stella beer and yoghurt, valued at £53.90, from Co-op on August 5. 

Scott is also accused of stealing items including Colgate toothpaste, worth a total of £103.83, from Superdrug on October 4.

And Scott is accused of taking alcohol and meat from Tesco Express in Worcester on October 5.

Scott is yet to plead to any of the charges. 

Scott was given the CBO, lasting for three years, in June 2022.

The three-year order bans him from entering (or loitering outside) the following shops: Londis in Yates Hay Road, Malvern; Wilko in Edith Walk, Malvern; Iceland in Church Street, Malvern; Waitrose in Edith Walk, Malvern; Matalan in Malvern Retail Park; Co-op in Barnards Green Road; Co-op in Worcester Road, Malvern; Tesco Express in Madresfield Road, Malvern; Bradfords Building Supplies in Malvern; B&M in Bath Road, Worcester; Co-op in Racecourse Road, Pershore.

The terms of the order also says he must not loiter outside shops with Natalie Cull.

Chairman of the magistrates bench Peter Cound announced the warrant would be issued after prosecutor, Eleanor Peart, said a letter informing Scott of the hearing date and that he should attend had been sent out to his address.
