A BROKEN down vehicle caused a fuel spill across a main road in Worcester.

Firefighters from Worcester were sent to clean up the fuel spill at 10.30am this morning (Thursday) on the A4440 Nunnery Way.

A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "A crew from Worcester Fire Station was called at 10.31am on December 7 to a diesel spill on Nunnery Way, Worcester.

"A vehicle had broken down on the roadway and Worcestershire Highways were requested to deal with the fuel spill.

"The incident was marked as pending closure at 10.43am."
